Image perceptual hashing has been proposed to identify or authenticate image contents in a robust way against distortions caused by compression, noise, common signal processing and geometrical modifications, while still holding a good discriminability to tell the same content from different ones in sense of human perception. We propose and compare in this paper four normalized block mean value based image perceptual hashing algorithms which demonstrate higher performances than other existing…

Robust mesh-based hashing for copy detection and tracing of images

TLDR
This paper proposes a geometry-invariant image hashing scheme, which can be employed for content copy detection and tracing and exhaustive experimental results obtained from benchmark attacks have confirmed the performance of the proposed method.

Robust and secure image hashing

TLDR
A novel algorithm for generating an image hash based on Fourier transform features and controlled randomization is developed and it is shown that the proposed hash function is resilient to content-preserving modifications, such as moderate geometric and filtering distortions.

Robust image hashing

TLDR
A novel image indexing technique that may be called an image hash function, which uses randomized signal processing strategies for a non-reversible compression of images into random binary strings, and is shown to be robust against image changes due to compression, geometric distortions, and other attacks.

A Perceptual Audio Hashing Algorithm: A Tool for Robust Audio Identification and Information Hiding

TLDR
A novel audio hashing algorithm is proposed to be used for audio watermarking applications, that uses signal processing and traditional algorithmic analysis (against an adversary) in a way resistant to formatting and compression.

Towards robust, content based techniques for image authentication

This paper is focused on image authentication, as the process of evaluating the integrity of image contents relative to the original picture and of being able to detect, in an automatic way,

A review of algorithms for audio fingerprinting

TLDR
Different techniques mapping functional parts to blocks of a unified framework for audio fingerprinting are reviewed, with a focus on pattern matching and robust hashing.
