1. Cutaneous reflex responses were elicited during human running (8 km/h) on a treadmill by electrical stimulation of the sural nerve at the ankle. Stimulus trains (5 pulses of 1 ms at 200 Hz) at three nonnociceptive intensities, which were 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 times perception threshold (PT), were delivered at 16 phases of the step cycle.
