Methodologies were developed for the establishment and cultivation of Artemisia annua L (CPQBA 2/39 x PL5 hybrid) roots submitted to light conditions and genetic transformation performed with Agrobacterium rhizogenes (15834 and 8196 strains). The transgenic and non-transgenic (normal) roots were cultured in Murashige and Skoog (1962) medium, kept under different photoperiodic conditions and analyzed for evaluation of the antiulcerogenic dihydro-epideoxyarteannuin B (compound A) contents. Impact of Artemisia Annua L . Supplementation On Growth Performance And Control Of Coccidiosis In Rabbits
In this study, growth performance and anticoccidial protective effects of Artemisia annua l. powder or extract as dietary supplement were studied. Ninety growing new Zealand White rabbits (932
Effect of Chemical and Physical Stress Conditions on the Concentration and Composition of Essential Oil Components in Leaves of Full‐Grown Artemisia annua L.
Full-grown Artemisia annua plants were subjected to chemical and physical stress conditions, and the effect of these on the concentration and chemical composition of essential oil components (EOC) in
Effect of Artemisia annua L. leaves essential oil and ethanol extract on behavioral assays
It is possible to suggest that A. annua crude ethanol extract and essential oil could act as depressors on the Central Nervous System (CNS) in animals.
Effect of Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine and Artesunate on Gastric Acid Secretion and Parietal Cell Mass in Rats
Sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine and artesunate inhibit gastric acid secretion, inhibited histamine (H2) and muscarinic (M3) receptors, and reduced parietal cell mass.

The mevalonate-independent pathway is expressed in transformed roots of Artemisia annua and regulated by light and culture age
Northern blot analysis showed that the transformed root cultures expressed these genes at different levels during the culture cycle, representing an important step towards demonstrating the presence of the plastid-localized terpenoid biosynthetic pathway in these easily engineered in vitro cultures.
Artemisinin, a novel antimalarial drug: biochemical and molecular approaches for enhanced production.
Improved production of artemisinin either in cell/tissue culture or in the whole plant of A. annua is highly desirable and can be achieved by a better understanding of the biochemical pathway leading to the synthesis of art Artemisinin and its regulation by both exogenous and endogenous factors.
The effect of phytohormones on growth and artemisinin production in Artemisia annua hairy roots
The results will prove useful in increasing hairy root growth and artemisinin production and the best conditions for stimulating elongation appear to be.
Isolation and identification of dihydroartemisinic acid hydroperoxide from artemisia annua: A novel biosynthetic precursor of artemisinin
The presence of 1 and 2 in the plant and the conditions under which 1 can be converted into 2, which can very easily oxidize to 3, provide evidence for a nonenzymatic, photochemical conversion of 1 into 3, in vivo, inThe plant.
Seasonal variation of artemisinin and its biosynthetic precursors in plants of Artemisia annua of different geographical origin: proof for the existence of chemotypes.
The time course of the levels of artemisinin, its biosynthetic precursors and the biosynthetically related sesquiterpenes was monitored during a vegetation period of Artemisia annua plants of different geographical origin to suggest the presence of high levels of dihydroartemisinic acid may be an adaptation to stress conditions.
Atividade antimicrobiana de extratos hidroalcólicos de espécies da coleção de plantas medicinais CPQBA/UNICAMP
Crude extracts of 45 medicinal plants from CPQBA Germoplasm Collection were tested for their antimicrobial activity and M. laevigata was able to inhibit three bacteria species, at similar concentrations as observed for the standard chloranphenicol.
