The defense allomones of two haplodesmid millipedes, Eutrichodesmus elegans and E. armatus (Polydesmida: Haplodesmidae), are known as a mixture of the following three nitro compounds: (2-nitroethyl)benzene and (Z)- and (E)-(2-nitroethenyl)benzenes.
