The aim of the present study was to reduce the Ni (II) ions present in the waste water which is highly toxic to the environment. Biosorption experiments were carried out in a batch process which includes the factors like pH, contact time, size variation, adsorbent dose and metal ion concentration. The maximum percentage removal of Ni (II) ions in the aqueous solution is 96.95 % at pH 6 and contact time 40 min.
