ABSTRACT A batch study on the removal of As(III) and As(V) ions from contaminated water by biosorption using powdered Psidium guajava (Guava) leaf as biosorbent was carried out in the present work. FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared) and SEM (scanning electron microscopy) were used to characterize the surface of the biosorbent.
