Carving skis and skiboards have arrived in the Alpine skiing community. The scientific community has great interest in studying both the performance and safety aspects of these new products. To date, several studies have been concluded, and numerous others are in progress. Neither carving skis, which need to be more concisely defined in the future, nor skiboards appear to significantly increase the injury risk to the user.
