Ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) having a low coefficient of friction (COF), high wearand chemical resistance in harsh environments, is used for fabricating medical products (hip and knee joints, intervertebral discs, plates for maxillofacial surgery, and others).
