Continuous measurements of pH, chlorophyll-a, and temperature, taken while underway at 10 knots (1 knot = 1.9 km h−1 in the Peruvian coastal upwelling area off Cabo Nazca, are presented. The values of pH range from 7.8 at the coast, near the center of upwelling, to 8.5 at the western boundary of the study area.
