CONTEXT Curcumin has a number of beneficial effects, such as functioning as a potent antioxidant,1 anti-inflammatory, 2 and anticancer agent. Because of its poor oral bioavailability, very high oral doses and repeated dosing have been used to obtain effective plasma levels, with mixed results.
