The bioaugmentation strains for phenol, pyridine, quinoline, carbazole, and naphthalene degradation were employed to treat coking wastewater in a membrane bioreactor (MBR). The results showed that the bioaugmented MBR was much better in pollutant removal than that of the control MBR with conventional activated sludge.
