Acaena splendens H. et A. has been used in Chilean folk medicine for the treatment of fever and inflammation. A description of the in vivo reduction of bacterial pyrogen‐induced fever in rabbits and carrageenan‐induced paw oedema in guinea pigs is presented. The methanol extract named ME‐1, obtained after succesive extractions with petroleum ether and dichloromethane, showed a strong antipyretic action (45.7% of effect), though the antiinflammatory activity was only observed after submitting…

“ANALGESIC AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF STEM BARK OF MYRICA NAGI (T.)”
TLDR
The observed results suggested the MNSBEE showed significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity in acute as well as chronic conditions which support its folk medicine use.
Study of the Analgesic and Toxic Effects in Vivo of a Selective Ethyl Acetate Extract of the Leaves of Gossypium Barbadense L. (Malvaceae) and Structural Characterization of an Isolated Phytoconstituent
Gossypium barbadense L. is a medicinal Malvaceae used as an indispensable intrant in the endogenous medication of skin super infection caused by shingles in Côte d'Ivoire. The objective of this study
Inhibitory effects of the flavonoids isolated from Waltheria indica on the production of NO, TNF-alpha and IL-12 in activated macrophages.
TLDR
The present study supports the use of W. indica for the treatment of inflammatory diseases in traditional medicine by demonstrating significantly and dose-dependently inhibited the production of the inflammatory mediator nitric oxide.
Characterisation of polyphenols by HPLC-PAD-ESI/MS and antioxidant activity in Equisetum telmateia.
TLDR
The results suggest that the anti-inflammatory activity of E. telmateia could be due, at least in part, to the presence of compounds with antioxidant activity.
p-Hydroxybenzoic Acid β-d-Glucosyl Ester and Cimidahurinine with Antimelanogenesis and Antioxidant Effects from Pyracantha angustifolia via Bioactivity-Guided Fractionation
TLDR
Results suggest that P. angustifolia containing active compounds, such as HG and CH, is a potent therapeutic candidate for the development of hypopigmenting agents.
A new flavonol glucoside from the aerial parts of Sida glutinosa
TLDR
Phytochemical investigation on the dried aerial parts of Sida glutinosa has led to the isolation of a new flavonol glucoside, glutinoside, along with seven known compounds, 24(28)-dehydromakisterone A, 1,2,3,9-tetrahydropyrrolo[2,1-b]-quinazolin-3-amine, which are reported from this plant for the first time.

Antiinflammatory and antipyretic metabolites of Acaena splendens.
TLDR
The acqueous, methanol and dichloromethane extracts showed marked antipyretic and antiinflammatory activities; the dichlorometrichane extract being the most active in both assays.
Anti-complement activity of tiliroside from the flower buds of Magnolia fargesii.
TLDR
Tiliroside showed very potent anti-complement activity on the classical pathway of the complement system, even higher than rosmarinic acid, which is a well-known inhibitor against the complementSystem.
Biologically active constituents of Magnolia salicifolia: inhibitors of induced histamine release from rat mast cells.
TLDR
The extracts of the flower buds of Magnolia salicifolia showed remarkable anti-allergy effects in passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) test and magnosalicin is a new compound of neolignan structure.
