Environmental and genetic factors have been implicated as important sources of individual variation in baseline sister-chromatid exchange (SCE) frequency in humans. The current study was designed to test whether the frequency of baseline SCEs in 58 normal blood donors is associated with previously observed variations in SCE frequencies induced by diepoxybutane (DEB).
