We compared the beta-adrenoceptor stimulant actions of dobutamine and (-)-isoprenaline in isolated tissue preparations (atria, trachea, and uterus) from the guinea pig and in chloralose-anaesthetized, vagotomized cats (arterial blood pressure, heart rate, hindlimb perfusion pressure, and soleus muscle contractility).
