We conducted a review of all the bronchoscopies performed at our institutions for benign tumors from 1980 to 1991 to determine the endoscopic characteristics of these lesions. We reviewed the charts, the endoscopic characteristics from our video records, and finally the pathologic findings of these cases. We tried to identify the effectiveness of laser resections in each group. Of a total of 3,937 patients, 185 (4.7%) were benign tumors. On these patients, 317 procedures were carried out. There…
The Clinical, Radiological, and Bronchoscopic Findings and Outcomes in Patients with Benign Tracheobronchial Tumors
TLDR
Bronchoscopic intervention was a useful treatment modality, and tumor type, pedunculated base, and vascularity may influence successful tumor removal, in patients with benign tracheobronchial tumors.
Management and surgical resection for tracheobronchial tumors institutional experience with 12 patients.
TLDR
When possible, a complete resection provides the best potential benefits and symptomatic relief for patients with tracheo-endobronchial tumors and various options related to tracheobronschoplasty including conservative resection can be applied for surgical intervention.
Endoscopic management of benign tracheobronchial tumors.
Even though benign tracheobronchial tumors are quite rare, they still can induce airway obstruction, result in suffocation, and need emergent management to remove the obstructing lesions and make the

Bronchial Schwannomas: Clinicopathologic Analysis of 7 Cases
TLDR
Pathologists should consider endobronchial schwannoma in the differential diagnosis of a spindle cell tumor involving the bronchus in patients with bronchialSchwannomas, and the results showed that rigid bronchoscopy is an effective tool for tumor removal in endobronschialschwannom patients.
ThE Role of Endoscopic Surgery for Completely Obstructive Endobronchial Benign Tumor
TLDR
Endoscopic surgery could be applied to the patients with completely obstructive endobronchial benign tumor, and 6 out of 7 patients who underwent bronchoscopic resection were successful.
Tracheobronchial gland tumors.
TLDR
Expanding knowledge of diagnostic evaluation and surgical therapy can improve the long-term survival of patients with tracheobronchial gland tumors.
Benign tumors of the tracheobronchial tree: CT-pathologic correlation.
TLDR
The CT findings of variable benign tumors of the tracheobronchial tree were eccentric, well-defined, polypoid masses in all cases, and atelectasis or pneumonia of the distal parenchyma was frequently associated.
A Multicenter Retrospective Study Investigating the Role of Interventional Bronchoscopic Techniques in the Management of Endobronchial Lipomas
TLDR
This study demonstrates that endoscopic techniques are effective for the diagnosis and treatment of endobronchial lipomas when there is no evidence of severe distal bronchiectasis.
Chondroma: An Uncommon Case of Bronchial Tumor
TLDR
A 37-year-old woman was evaluated for suspicion of asthma and diagnosed with an endoluminal tumor occluding the culmen, a rare benign endobronchial tumor which was extirpated almost completely by bronchoscopy.

TLDR
Treatment could be conservative surgery, but 65% of reported cases have been managed by lobectomy or pneumonectomy as a result of advanced irreversible lung disease or unawareness of the benign nature of the lesion.

Benign endobronchial mesenchymal tumors: Their relationship to parenchymal pulmonary hamartomas
TLDR
The histological similarity between the two groups and the presence of some endobronchial tumors within small, peripheral airways support the theory that endobronschial and parenchymal “hamartomas” are similar mesenchymal neoplasms of bronchia and bronchiolar walls occurring at different loci within the bronchial tree.
