In this report, we address practical issues associated with tracking a single non-manoeuvering target using bearings-only data. In particular, we investigate the performance of various tracking algorithms and techniques by processing real trial data obtained from a field of sonobuoys. Difficulties using conventional modelling assumptions are illustrated.
