We investigate a simple theory where Baryon number (B) and Le pton number (L) are local gauge symmetries. In this theory B and L are on the same footing and the anomalies re cancelled by adding a single new fermionic generation. There is an interesting realization of the sees aw mechanism for neutrino masses. Furthermore there is a natural suppression of flavour violation in the quark and leptonic sectors since the gauge symmetries and particle content forbid tree level flavor changing neutral… Expand
Breaking local baryon and lepton number at the TeV scale
Simple models are proposed where the baryon and lepton number are gauged and spontaneously broken near the weak scale. The models use a fourth generation that is vector-like with respect to theExpand
MSSM with gauged baryon and lepton numbers
A simple extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model in which baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries spontaneously broken at the supersymmetry scale is reported. This theoryExpand
Theory for Baryon Number and Dark Matter at the LHC
We investigate the possibility to test the simplest theory for spontaneous baryon number violation at the Large Hadron Collider. In this context the baryon number is a local gauge symmetryExpand
Dark Matter and Baryogenesis from Non-Abelian Gauged Lepton Number
A simple model is constructed based on the gauge symmetry SU(3)c ×SU(2)L ×U(1)Y ×SU(2)l, with only the leptons transforming nontrivially under SU(2)l. The extended symmetry is broken down to theExpand
New Paradigm for Baryon and Lepton Number Violation
The possible discovery of proton decay, neutron-antineutron oscillation, neutrinoless beta decay in low energy experiments, and exotic signals related to the violation of the baryon and leptonExpand
Baryonic Higgs at the LHC
A bstractWe investigate the possible collider signatures of a new Higgs in simple extensions of the Standard Model where baryon number is a local symmetry spontaneously broken at the low scale. WeExpand
A Simple Model of Gauged Lepton and Baryon Charges
We propose a simple extension of the standard model with lepton and baryon numbers gauged by introducing only two leptoquarks (j+1/2, k-1/2) to the fermion content. As natural consequences of theExpand
Phenomenological Aspects of Theories for Baryon and Lepton Number Violation
The renormalizable couplings of the Standard Model are invariant under two accidental global symmetries, which correspond to conserved baryon and lepton numbers. In this thesis, we discuss possibleExpand
Unification and local baryon number
Abstract We investigate the possibility to find an ultraviolet completion of the simple extensions of the Standard Model where baryon number is a local symmetry. In the context of such theories oneExpand
The corrections from one loop and two-loop Barr-Zee type diagrams to muon MDM in BLMSSM
A bstractIn a supersymmetric extension of the standard model where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries(BLMSSM) and the Yukawa couplings between Higgs doublets and exotic quarks areExpand
