We present a phenomenological model for baryogenesis based on particle creation in the Friedman–Robertson–Walker (FRW) space-time. This study is a continuation of our proposal that Hawking-like radiation in FRW space-time explains several physical aspects of the early Universe including inflation. In this model we study a coupling between the FRW space-time, in the form of the derivative of the Ricci scalar, and the $$B-L$$B-L current, $$J^{\mu } _{B-L}$$JB-Lμ, which leads to a different…

Quantum tunneling and quasinormal modes in the spacetime of the Alcubierre warp drive
- Physics
- 2017
In a seminal paper, Alcubierre showed that Einstein’s theory of general relativity appears to allow a super-luminal motion. In the present study, we use a recent eternal-warp-drive solution found by…

Connection between Sinc Approximation for High-Energy Absorption Cross Section and Shadow of Black Holes
- Physics

This letter aims to show the connection between the sinc approximation for high-energy absorption cross section and the shadow radius of the spherically symmetric black hole. This connection can give…

HAWKING-LIKE RADIATION AS TUNNELING FROM THE APPARENT HORIZON IN AN FRW UNIVERSE
- Physics
- 2010
We study Hawking-like radiation in a Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) universe using the quasi-classical WKB/tunneling method, which pictures this process as a "tunneling" of particles from behind…
Generating the observed baryon asymmetry from the inflaton field
- Physics
- 2014
We propose a mechanism by which the inflaton can generate baryogenesis, by taking the inflaton to be a complex scalar field with a weakly broken global symmetry, and present a new version of the…
Baryogenesis from Hawking Radiation

We show that in the presence of a chemical potential, black hole evaporation generates baryon number. If the inflaton or Ricci scalar is derivatively coupled to the B-L current, the expansion of the…
Early universe cosmology with particle creation: kinematics tests

We study some properties of the early evolution of the universe with particle creation in the framework of the flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker line element. The field equations are solved by using…

A minimally modified hot big-bang model is proposed and it is shown that ages large enough to agree with observations are obtained even given the high values of H suggested by recent measurements.
HAWKING RADIATION AS A MECHANISM FOR INFLATION
- Physics
- 2012
The Friedman–Robertson–Walker (FRW) spacetime exhibits particle creation similar to Hawking radiation of a black hole. In this essay we show that this FRW Hawking radiation leads to an effective…

Using techniques from loop quantum gravity, the standard inflationary paradigm is extended to a self-consistent theory from the Planck scale to the onset of slow roll inflation, covering some 11 orders of magnitude in energy density and curvature.
