I schematically, and very lightly, review some ideas that fuel model building in the field of baryogenesis. Due to limitations of space, and my expertise, this mini-review is incomplete and biased toward particle physics, especially supersymmetry.

Gravitational baryogenesis and dark matter from light black holes

We study a scenario in which the baryon asymmetry is created through Hawking radiation from primordial black holes via a dynamically-generated chemical potential. This mechanism can also be used to

Melanopogenesis: dark matter of (almost) any mass and baryonic matter from the evaporation of primordial black holes weighing a ton (or less)

The evaporation of primordial black holes with a mass in the 1 gram≲ MPBH≲1000 kg range can lead to the production of dark matter particles of almost any mass in the range 0.1 MeV≲ mDM≲ 1018 GeV with

T big bang theory postulates that all matter that currently exists in the universe was created at one moment, nearly 14 billion years ago, at the birth of the universe itself. All the fundamental

Theories relating baryon asymmetry and dark matter

The nature of dark matter and the origin of the baryon asymmetry are two of the deepest mysteries of modern particle physics. In the absence of hints regarding a possible solution to these mysteries,

Baryogenesis and cosmological antimatter

Possible mechanisms of baryogenesis are reviewed. Special attention is payed to those which allow for creation of astronomically significant domains or objects consisting of antimatter. Observational

A light stop and electroweak baryogenesis

Baryogenesis -- 40 Years Later

The classical picture of GUT baryogenesis has been strongly modified by theoretical progress concerning two nonperturbative features of the standard model: the phase diagram of the electroweak

Electroweak Baryogenesis

We demonstrate the viability of electroweak baryogenesis scenarios in which the necessary departure from equilibrium is realized by the evolution of a network of topological defects. We consider

Electroweak baryon number non-conservation in the early Universe and in high-energy collisions

We review recent progress in the study of the anomalous baryon number non-conservation at high temperatures and in high energy collisions. Recent results on high temperature phase transitions are

Baryogenesis, dark matter and inflation in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model
