The sinoaortic baroreflex is one of the primary mechanisms that regulates blood pressure. Decreased baroreflex sensitivity has been reported in preeclampsia. We sought to determine whether pregnancy altered baroreflex sensitivity. From a radial artery catheter, heart rate and mean arterial pressure were recorded continuously onto a polygraph.
