The Variational Methods of Quantum Systems in Holomorphic Representation
We show that variational method for harmonic oscillator in Bargmann representation breaks down since we always end up with one of the exact eigenvalues of Hamiltonian using any normalized monomials

Quantum-enhanced absorption refrigerators
TLDR
This work establishes thermodynamic performance bounds for quantum absorption refrigerators and investigates their quantum origin, and shows how those bounds may be pushed beyond what is classically achievable, by suitably tailoring the environmental fluctuations via quantum reservoir engineering techniques.
Physical implementations of quantum absorption refrigerators
Absorption refrigerators are autonomous thermal machines that harness the spontaneous flow of heat from a hot bath into the environment in order to perform cooling. Here we discuss quantum

Quantum absorption refrigerator.
A quantum absorption refrigerator driven by noise is studied with the purpose of determining the limitations of cooling to absolute zero. The model consists of a working medium coupled simultaneously
Quantum absorption refrigerator with trapped ions
TLDR
An experimental realization of a quantum absorption refrigerator in a system of three trapped ions, with three of its normal modes of motion coupled by a trilinear Hamiltonian such that heat transfer between two modes refrigerates the third.
Quantum non-Markovianity: characterization, quantification and detection.
TLDR
A comprehensive and up-to-date review of the concept of quantum non-Markovianity, a central theme in the theory of open quantum systems, is presented and a detailed comparison with other definitions presented in the literature is provided.
Degree of Quantumness in Quantum Synchronization
TLDR
Following techniques from quantum information, the number of non-commuting observables that synchronize as a measure of quantumness is proposed and illustrated in a quantum system consisting of two weakly interacting cavity-qubit systems.
Generation of optical ‘Schrödinger cats’ from photon number states
TLDR
A protocol is demonstrated that allows the generation of arbitrarily large squeezed Schrödinger cat states, using homodyne detection and photon number states as resources, and clearly exhibits several quantum phase-space interference fringes between the ‘dead’ and ‘alive’ components.

It is demonstrated that the Bargmann representation of quantum mechanics is ideally suited for semiclassical analysis, using as an example the WKB method applied to the bound-state problem in a
Dynamics of non-Markovian open quantum systems
Open quantum systems (OQSs) cannot always be described with the Markov approximation, which requires a large separation of system and environment time scales. Here, we give an overview of some of the
