A release of multicolor broadband (BVRI) photometry for a subsample of 44 isolated spirals drawn from the Catalogue of Isolated Galaxies is presented. Total magnitudes and colors at various circular apertures, as well as some global structural/morphological parameters, are estimated. Morphology is reevaluated through optical and sharp-filtered R-band images, (B - I) color index maps, and archived near-IR JHK images from the Two Micron All Sky Survey. The CAS structural parameters (concentration…

Broad-band BVRI photometry of isolated spiral galaxies

Context. Uniform and high resolution observations in samples of isolated galaxies are required to estimate fundamental morphological and structural parameters for comparative studies of environmental

A MORPHOLOGICAL RE-EVALUATION OF GALAXIES IN COMMON FROM THE CATALOG OF ISOLATED GALAXIES AND THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY (DR6)

We present a re-evaluation of the optical morphology for 549 galaxies from the Catalog of Isolated Galaxies in the Northern Hemisphere (CIG) that are available in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS;

THE BULGELESS SEYFERT/LINER GALAXY NGC 3367: DISK, BAR, LOPSIDEDNESS, AND ENVIRONMENT

NGC 3367 is a nearby isolated active galaxy that shows a radio jet, a strong bar, and evidence of lopsidedness. We present a quantitative analysis of the stellar and gaseous structure of the galaxy

Photometric Investigations of Peculiar spiral galaxy NGC 2608 Using Multiband CCD Camera

The structural of peculiar spiral galaxy NGC 2608 have been studied using multiband CCD surface photometry of the observations that have been obtained by the 1.88 m optical telescope of Kottamia

GHASP: an H alpha kinematic survey of spiral galaxies - X. Surface photometry, decompositions and the Tully-Fisher relation in the R-c band

We present R-c-band surface photometry for 170 of the 203 galaxies in GHASP, the Gassendi H-alpha survey of spirals, a sample of late-type galaxies for which high-resolution Fabry-Perot H alpha maps

Model-based pattern speed estimates for 38 barred galaxies

We have modelled 38 barred galaxies by using near-infrared and optical data from the Ohio State University Bright Spiral Galaxy Survey. We constructed the gravitational potentials of the galaxies

A comprehensive study of the star-formation along the strong NGC 2903

The nearby barred spiral NGC 2903 has an active starburst at i s centre and H regions distributed along its bar. We analyse the star-formation pr operties in the bar region of NGC 2903 and study

Inclination- and dust-corrected galaxy parameters: bulge-to-disc ratios and size–luminosity relations

While galactic bulges may contain no significant dust of their own, the dust within galaxy discs can strongly attenuate the light from their embedded bulges. Furthermore, such dust inhibits the

CENTRAL GALAXIES IN DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS: DO THEY HAVE SIMILAR PROPERTIES?

We perform an exhaustive comparison among central galaxies from Sloan Digital Sky Survey catalogs in different local environments at 0.01 ⩽ z ⩽ 0.08. The central galaxies are separated into two
