Recently business intelligence (BI) applications have been the primary agenda for many CIOs. However, the concept of BI is fairly new and to date there is no commonly agreed definition of BI. This paper explores the nebulous definitions and the various applications of BI through a comprehensive review of academic as well as practitioner’s literature.
