In this paper a soft-in soft-output (SISO) multiuser detection algorithm for synchronous direct sequence-code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems operating over a slow Rayleigh fading channel is illustrated. Its derivation is based on the Bayesian Expectation Maximization (BEM) technique.
