Torsade de Pointes arrhythmias are a feared proarrhythmic effect of (antiarrhythmic) drugs. In dogs with chronic complete AV-block bradycardia-induced volume overload leads to electrical remodeling, which includes increased susceptibility to drug-induced Torsade de Pointes arrhythmias.
