We present new constraints on the couplings of axions and more generic axion-like particles using data from the EDELWEISS-II experiment. The EDELWEISS experiment, located at the Underground Laboratory of Modane, primarily aims at the direct detection of WIMPs using germanium bolometers. It is also sensitive to the low-energy electron recoils that would be induced by solar or dark matter axions. Using a total exposure of up to 448 kg.d, we searched for axion-induced electron recoils down to 2.5… Expand
Searches for axions with the EDELWEISS experiment
The EDELWEISS experiment primarily aims at the direct detection of WIMPs using germanium bolometers. It is also sensitive to the low-energy electron recoils that would be induced by axions. WeExpand
Constraints on Axion couplings from the CDEX-1 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory
We report the results of searches for solar axions and galactic dark matter axions or axion-like particles with CDEX-1 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, using 335.6 kg-days ofExpand
Searches for electron interactions induced by new physics in the EDELWEISS-III germanium bolometers
We make use of the EDELWEISS-III array of germanium bolometers to search for electron interactions at the keV scale induced by phenomena beyond the Standard Model. A 90% C.L. lower limit is set onExpand
The EDELWEISS Dark Matter Search: Status and Perspectives
Abstract EDELWEISS is a phased direct dark matter search programme whose primary goal is to search for WIMPs in the GeV-TeV mass range. For that purpose, a set of cryogenic Ge mono-crystals read outExpand
Search for dark matter with EDELWEISS-III excluding background from muon-induced neutrons
The aim of the EDELWEISS-III experiment is to detect the elastic scattering of WIMPs from the galactic dark matter halo on germanium bolometers. The most problematic background arises from neutrons,Expand
Search for solar axions with CsI(Tl) crystal detectors
A bstractThe results of a search for solar axions from the Korea Invisible Mass Search (KIMS) experiment at the Yangyang Underground Laboratory are presented. Low-energy electron-recoil events wouldExpand
Rare event searches with CUORE style TeO2 bolometers
In this dissertation we report on the first search for solar axions from atomic transitions in the solar core. A search for the 14.4 keV axion from the ground state transition in 57Fe in the sun wasExpand
Low mass WIMP and axion searches with the EDELWEISS experiment
In spite of the recent successes of observational cosmology, most of the universe remains poorly known. Known particles (which we call baryons) only make up 5% of the total content of the universe.Expand
New Constraints on the Axion–Photon Coupling Constant for Solar Axions
Resonance excitation of the 83Kr first nuclear level (E = 9.4 keV) by solar axions formed via the Primakoff mechanism is sought. The γ- and X-ray photons and the conversion and Auger electronsExpand
Solar Axion search with Micromegas detectors in the CAST Experiment with $^{3}$He as buffer gas
Axions are well motivated particles proposed in an extension of the Standard Model (SM) as a solution to the CP problem in strong interactions. On the other hand, there is the category of axion-likeExpand

Search for axions with the CDMS experiment.
The first axion search results from the Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) experiment at the Soudan Underground Laboratory are reported on, which benefits from the first precise measurement of the absolute crystal plane orientations in this type of experiment. Expand
Particle dark matter and solar axion searches with a small germanium detector at the Canfranc Underground Laboratory
Abstract A small, natural abundance, germanium detector (COSME) has been operating recently at the Canfranc Underground Laboratory (Spanish Pyrenees) in improved conditions of shielding andExpand
Search for 14.4 keV solar axions emitted in the M1-transition of 57Fe nuclei with CAST
We have searched for 14.4 keV solar axions or more general axion-like particles (ALPs), that may be emitted in the M1 nuclear transition of 57Fe, by using the axion-to-photon conversion in the CERNExpand
Search for axions from the 1115-keV transition of 65Cu.
The general constraints imposed by these experiments on axions that couple to nucleons and to either the electron or two photons are determined, including the ranges of ${f}_{\ensuremath{\varphi}} and X that are ruled out by the authors' measurements. Expand
Background studies for the EDELWEISS dark matter experiment
The EDELWEISS-II collaboration has completed a direct search for WIMP dark matter using cryogenic Ge detectors (400 g each) and 384 kg×days of effective exposure. A cross-section of 4.4 × 10 8 pb isExpand
CAST constraints on the axion-electron coupling
In non-hadronic axion models, which have a tree-level axion-electron interaction, the Sun produces a strong axion flux by bremsstrahlung, Compton scattering, and axio-recombination, the ``BCAExpand
Muon-induced background in the EDELWEISS dark matter search
Abstract A dedicated analysis of the muon-induced background in the EDELWEISS dark matter search has been performed on a data set acquired in 2009 and 2010. The total muon flux underground in theExpand
