Avian infectious bronchitis virus (AIBV), a coronavirus, causes acute respiratory disease in chickens. A rapid diagnostic method was developed for the detection of AIBV in infected chickens using a modified indirect double antibody sandwich (MIDAS) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
