A retrospective study of functionality of patients with distal radius fracture after osteosynthesis with an LCP volar plate
TLDR
Na amostra analisada, pode-se concluir that, apos um ano de pos-operatorio, os pacientes apresentam resultados semelhantes na comparacao, o that evidencia uma recuperacao satisfatoria do estado funcional. Expand
TLDR
The technique described here had excellent stability for treating fractures of the distal extremity of the radius classified as A3 and was easy to implement and minimally invasive, with minimal surgical complications, and it was inexpensive. Expand
Volar fixation for dorsally displaced fractures of the distal radius: a preliminary report.
TLDR
The combination of stable internal fixation with the preservation of the dorsal soft tissues resulted in rapid fracture healing, reduced need for bone grafting, and low incidence of tendon problems in this study. Expand
Volar locking plates versus Kirschner wires for distal radial fractures--a cost analysis study.
TLDR
The cost of each technique for managing dorsally angulated distal radial fractures with locked volar plate fixation in fractures that may have previously been managed with percutaneous Kirschner wire (K-wire) fixation is examined. Expand
Functional outcome and complications after volar plating for dorsally displaced, unstable fractures of the distal radius.
TLDR
Patients with unstable, dorsally displaced fractures of the distal radius treated with volar fixed-angle devices have good or excellent functional outcomes despite a high complication rate. Expand
Comparative study of the closed reduction percutaneous cannulated screw fixation and open reduction palmar locking plate fixation in the treatment of AO type A2 distal radius fractures
TLDR
CRPCS group was found to be as successful as ORPLP group and it may be suitable in the case of young, active individuals with AO type A2 distal radius fractures. Expand
Internal Versus External Fixation for the Treatment of Distal Radial Fractures
TLDR
The best available evidence suggested that compared with EF, IF was significantly associated with lower Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand scores, better rehabilitation of volar tilt and radial inclination, and lower infection rate at 1-year follow-up. Expand
Distal Radius Fracture Fixation With the Specialized Threaded Pin Device.
TLDR
The threaded pin offers reliable fracture fixation for the treatment of extra-articular and simple articular distal radius fractures, and allows patients to begin active range of motion early in the postoperative course. Expand
