Abstract The automation of a rapid microdetermination of Cl, Br and/or I in organic compounds is described. A combustion furnace, a buret and a titrator are modified and assembled to an apparatus. A solid state programmer using monostable multivibrator circuits to generate various time delays completes a halogen determination automatically in less than 4 min.
