Autoimmune enteropathy (AIE) is a rare condition characterized by intractable diarrhea and immune-mediated injury of the intestinal mucosa. As the clinical and histopathologic manifestations of this disease are highly variable, its diagnosis is challenging for both clinicians and pathologists.
