PURPOSE To investigate atlas-based auto-segmentation methods to improve the quality of the delineation of low-risk clinical target volumes (CTVs) of unilateral tonsil cancers. METHOD AND MATERIALS Sixteen patients received intensity modulated radiation therapy for left tonsil tumors.
