PVA nanocomposites containing cellulose nanocrystals and silver nanoparticles have been prepared and their properties were investigated. Even though bacterial cellulose nanocrystals (BCNC) improved the mechanical properties of hydrophilic polymers like modulus and strength, they also contributed to increased brittleness.
