The attraction ofTrichogramma platneri Nagarkatti (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) to eggs of two lepidopterous avocado pests,Boarmia sel-enaria (Schiffermüller) (Geometridae) andCryptoblabes gnidiella (Millière) (Phycitidae), was evaluated in olfactometer tests. The mobility of the wasp as measured by a mobility index was 0.6 for males and 1.8 for females; the males had a lower mobility and a lower search capacity index than the females. Frozen and fresh youngB. selenaria eggs had the greatest…
Linhagens de Trichogramma e Trichogrammatoidea para controle de Stenoma catenifer
TLDR
Under semi-field conditions, the highest parasitism was achieved with an estimated ratio of 28 and 30 parasitoids per pest egg, respectively, for Trichogramsmatoidea annulata and Trichogramma atopovirilia.
The host‐ and microhabitat olfactory location by Fopius arisanus suggests a broad potential host range
TLDR
Fopius arisanus females are attracted by the odours of faeces of the tephritid fly Bactrocera zonata and exhibit remote detection of a volatile kairomone coating the egg mass of all tested Tephritidae species but absent in the eggmass of the Muscidae Stomoxys calcitrans.
Location of Host and Host Habitat by Fruit Fly Parasitoids
TLDR
A detailed knowledge of this behavior may be very useful for selecting the release sites for both inundative/augmentative releases of mass-reared parasitoids and inoculative releases for classical biocontrol.
Host Searching by Egg Parasitoids: Exploitation of Host Chemical Cues
TLDR
Female parasitoids are under selection pressure to efficiently invest their limited time on the location and exploitation of host derived stimuli, so that the appropriateness and usability of semiochemicals could be influenced by their reliability in indicating host presence.

Parasitization of Amorbia cuneana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) and Sabulodes aegrotata (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) on Avocado in Southern California
TLDR
Immature stages of Sabulodes aegrotata and Amorbia cuneana Walsingham were collected from avocado foliage during 1978 through 1980 and held for parasite emergence, with seven being parasitic on both pests.

TLDR
The purpose of this bibliography is to bring together all of the information published since 1913 on the biology, behavior, ecology, phenology, hosts, distribution, economic importance, natural enemies, control methods, etc., in order to assist future studies of other aspects of this important pest.
Biological control of two avocado pests
When Amorbia cuneana and omnivorous looper show signs of building up, releases of an egg parasite can effectively augment natural control.
