We present a formalism which allows for the perturbative derivation of the Extended Uncertainty Principle (EUP) for arbitrary spatial curvature models and observers. Entering the realm of small position uncertainties, we derive a general asymptotic EUP. The leading 2nd order curvature induced correction is proportional to the Ricci scalar, while the 4th order correction features the 0th order Cartan invariant Psi^2 (a scalar quadratic in curvature tensors) and the curved space Laplacian of the…

Relativistic extended uncertainty principle from spacetime curvature
The investigations presented in this study are directed at relativistic modifications of the uncertainty relation derived from the curvature of the background spacetime. These findings generalize
Gravitationally induced uncertainty relations in curved backgrounds
This paper aims at investigating the influence of space-time curvature on the uncertainty relation. In particular, relying on previous findings, we assume the quantum wave function to be confined to
Generalized uncertainty principle or curved momentum space?
The concept of minimum length, widely accepted as a low-energy effect of quantum gravity, manifests itself in quantum mechanics through generalized uncertainty principles. Curved momentum space, on
M ay 2 02 1 Position and momentum operators on manifolds of constant curvature
We discuss Hermitean momentum operators given by orthonormal Killing vector fields on manifolds of constant curvature. It is shown that this definition provides a bilinear decomposition of the
Cosmological implications of the anisotropy of ten galaxy cluster scaling relations
The hypothesis that the late Universe is isotropic and homogeneous is adopted by most cosmological studies. The expansion rate $H_0$ is thought to be spatially constant, while bulk flows are often
Spontaneous Lorentz Violation from Infrared Gravity
A one-to-one correspondence is established between this modified uncertainty principle of Heisenberg uncertainty principle and the Standard Model Extension, a string-theoretical effective field theory that accounts for both explicit and spontaneous breaking of Lorentz symmetry.
Effects of extended uncertainty principle on the relativistic Coulomb potential
The relativistic bound-state energy spectrum and the wavefunctions for the Coulomb potential are studied for de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spaces in the context of the extended uncertainty principle.
Generalized uncertainty principle with maximal observable momentum and no minimal length indeterminacy
We present a novel generalization of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle which introduces the existence of a maximal observable momentum and at the same time does not entail a minimal indeterminacy

On scalar curvature invariants in three dimensional spacetimes
We wish to construct a minimal set of algebraically independent scalar curvature invariants formed by the contraction of the Riemann (Ricci) tensor and its covariant derivatives up to some order of
Uncertainty Principle on 3-Dimensional Manifolds of Constant Curvature
We consider the Heisenberg uncertainty principle of position and momentum in 3-dimensional spaces of constant curvature K. The uncertainty of position is defined coordinate independent by the
On the uncertainty principle in Rindler and Friedmann spacetimes
We revise the extended uncertainty relations for the Rindler and Friedmann spacetimes recently discussed by Dabrowski and Wagner in [ 9 ]. We reveal these results to be coordinate dependent
Generalized uncertainty principle and white dwarfs redux: How the cosmological constant protects the Chandrasekhar limit
It was previously argued that generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) with a positive parameter removes the Chandrasekhar limit. One way to restore the limit is by taking the GUP parameter to be
On Gravity and the Uncertainty Principle
Heisenberg showed in the early days of quantum theory that the uncertainty principle follows as a direct consequence of the quantization of electromagnetic radiation in the form of photons. As we
Extended uncertainty principle for rindler and cosmological horizons
We find exact formulas for the Extended Uncertainty Principle (EUP) for the Rindler and Friedmann horizons and show that they can be expanded to obtain asymptotic forms known from the previous
