Asymmetric destruction of the one-third magnetization plateau upon heating is found in the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ kagome Heisenberg antiferromagnets by using the typical pure quantum state approach. The asymmetry originates from a density of states of low-lying excited states of ${N}_{\mathrm{s}}$ spin systems with magnetization $(1/3\ensuremath{-}2/{N}_{\mathrm{s}})$ that is larger than the density of states of low-lying states with magnetization $(1/3+2/{N}_{\mathrm{s}})$. The enhanced specific…

Melting of Magnetization Plateaus for Kagomé and Square-Kagomé Lattice Antiferromagnets

Unconventional features of the magnetization curve at zero temperature such as plateaus or jumps are a hallmark of frustrated spin systems. Very little is known about their behavior at non-zero

Signatures of finite-temperature mirror symmetry breaking in the S=12 Shastry-Sutherland model

We investigate the finite-temperature properties of the S=1/2 Shastry-Sutherland Heisenberg model using a quantum typicality method. In the intermediate plaquette state region, we naturally expect to

Efficient Scheme for Time-dependent Thermal Pure Quantum State: Application to the Kitaev Model with Armchair Edges

We consider the time-dependent thermal pure quantum state method and introduce the efficient scheme to evaluate the change in physical quantities induced by the time-dependent perturbations, which has

First excitations of the spin 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the kagomé lattice

Abstract:We study the exact low energy spectra of the spin 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet on small samples of the kagomé lattice of up to N=36 sites. In agreement with the conclusions of previous

Dynamical and thermal magnetic properties of the Kitaev spin liquid candidate α-RuCl3

What is the correct low-energy spin Hamiltonian description of $$\alpha$$ α -RuCl$$_{3}$$ 3 ? The material is a promising Kitaev spin liquid candidate, but is also known to order

Controlling frustrated liquids and solids with an applied field in a kagome Heisenberg antiferromagnet.

A magnetic field is applied and a series of spin-gapped phases appearing at five different fractions of magnetization are discovered by means of a grand canonical density matrix renormalization group, an unbiased state-of-the-art numerical technique.

Magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the spin-${\frac{1}{2}}$ Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice and experimental data on ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2

Abstract. We compute the magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ Heisenberg model on the kagome lattice with high-temperature expansions and exact diagonalizations. We

Spin-Liquid Ground State of the S = 1/2 Kagome Heisenberg Antiferromagnet

This work uses the density matrix renormalization group to perform accurate calculations of the ground state of the nearest-neighbor quantum spin S = 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the kagome lattice and provides strong evidence that, for the infinite two-dimensional system, the groundState of this model is a fully gapped spin liquid.

A structurally perfect S = (1/2) kagomé antiferromagnet.

The syntheses and magnetic susceptibilities of a pure series of rare copper minerals from the atacamite family with general formula ZnxCu4-x(OH)6Cl2 (0 </= x </= 1) are reported. The structure of

Identifying Topological Order by Entanglement Entropy

Topological entanglement entropy provides a robust measure for detecting the long-range entanglement that characterizes quantum ground states displaying topological order. A new method for
