Oxidative stress is a major driver of many diseases, including cancer. The induction of Nrf2-ARE-mediated antioxidant enzymes provides a cellular defense against oxidative stress. Astaxanthin (AST), a red dietary carotenoid, possesses potent antioxidant activity, and inhibits oxidative damages.
