Adiponectin is the most abundant adipocytokine in human body and may play a role in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). To clarify the conflicting data in the literature concerning the association between PCOS and two polymorphisms of the adiponectin gene, T45G and G276T, a meta-analysis was performed in this study.
