  • Aims: The FADS1/FADS2 gene cluster encodes Δ-5 and Δ-6 desaturase, rate-limiting enzymes in metabolism of linoleic (LA) to arachidonic (ARA) and α-linolenic to eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
