Early coordination with affected Federal and state agencies allowed completion of an Environmental Assessment for a hydroelectric plant proposed for Lock and Dam No. 26 (Replacement). Available hydrologic data were compared including period of record (1938-1980) tailwater stages; projected percentage of flow through navigation locks, dam gates, and turbines; There would be minimum turbine operation during major periods of fish movement or larval drift.
