Phyllanthus amarus is an important medicinal plant and immensely used in the Indian System of Medicine to cure human diseases. Different types of secondary metabolites present in various organs of it, helped in evaluation of phytochemical diversity in different geographical conditions. We studied on 19 populations of this species collected from different geographical regions of India. All collected populations were differed to each other based on morphological as well as phytochemical markers…

Figures and Tables from this paper

Ex vivo Screening of Stem Extracts of Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl. for Antifungal Activity

TLDR
The overall results provide promising baseline information for the potential use of the crude antifungal extracts from C. macrophylla in the treatment of fungal infection and may lead this plant to reach the bed side.

Screening of phytochemical compounds of Gigantochloa scortechinii bamboo rhizome

TLDR
Results indicate that G. scortechinii rhizome contain various phytochemical compounds with potential as a plant of phyto-pharmaceutical importance and is suggested to be more affected by age-related factor with regard to variation of compound composition and concentration.

Evaluation Of Antibacterial Activity Of Callicarpa Macrophylla Vahl. Stem Extracts

TLDR
Ex vivo antibacterial activity studies on ethanolic and aqueous stem back extracts of C. macrophylla showed moderate growth inhibitory activity against all the bacterial strains, but SAE was exceptionally inactive against all strains except Salmonella typhimurium.

Review on the Pharmacological Properties of Cocos Nucifera Endocarp

TLDR
Current review article covers the relevancy of cocos nucifera endocarp in the medicinal world.

HPTLC STUDIES ON THE FLAVONOIDS OF Albizia lebbeck BENTH

The present study was aimed to characterize the flavonoids HPTLC profile of Albizia lebbeck Benth. HPTLC studies were carried out following Harborne and Wagner et al. method. The toluene – chloroform

Investigation of Analgesic & Anti-Pyretic Potentials of Callicarpa Macrophylla Vahl. Leaves Extracts

TLDR
Leaves of Callicarpa macrophylla, an indigenous plant of India, had been the plant of study for the current research work and evaluated for their analgesic as well as anti-pyretic effect using Tail Immersion Model and Brewer’s Yeast Induced Pyrexia Model respectively.

METABOLIC PROFILE ASSESSMENT OF PHYTOCHEMICALS IN CEIBA PENTANDRA (L.) GAERTN, FROM ZARIA CITY, NIGERIA

TLDR
For a clearer and broader identification of these phytochemical markers, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectrometry (NMR) should be employed to determine the detailed chemical structures of the identified metabolites, which will help in determining their functions and how they can be used to improve the biodiversity of these tree species.

Evaluation of antioxidant activity and characterization of phenolic constituents of Phyllanthus amarus root.

TLDR
The present investigation suggested that P. amarus root is a potent antioxidant and can be used for the prevention of diseases related to oxidative stress.

Evaluation Of Antmicrobial Properties, Acute Toxicity and Immunostimulatory Potential of Phyllanthus amarus

TLDR
The result of this investigation supports the popular use of Phyllanthus amarus for the traditional remedy of infectious diseases possibly caused by these test organisms.

Botanic, Phytochemistry and Pharmacological Aspects of Phyllanthus Amarus Schum. & Thonn. as Powerful Tools to Improve its Biotechnological Studies

  • M. Mm
  • Biology
    Annals of Chemical Science Research
  • 2019
TLDR
Phyllanthus species had been botanic approached by using several methodologies in the extended period of 2003 to 2011 and significant differences between P. amarus and P. niruri were pointed out.
