Gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa Hierm) belongs to the family Gesneriaceae and is a commercially important ornamental plant. Gloxinia produces single or double flowers that are available in a variety of colors. This plant can be traditionally propagated by leaf, stem, rhizome, seed, and crown cuttings from a mature plant after blooming.
