The aim of the study is to describe aspects of the life history of the Atlantic poacher (Leptagonus decagonus) obtained during early October 2010 and late September 2011 from the Hinlopen Strait, located between Nordaustlandet and the Spitsbergen Archi− pelago. Length was measured for 142 individuals, and 82 out of these were weighed, sexed and the age in years determined. The sex distribution in the population was 45% females and 55% males. Gut content examination revealed the domination of…

Data on distribution and biology of poachers agonidae from the northwestern part of the Bering Sea
Specific features of spatial and seasonal distribution of four species of Agonidae in the northwestern part of the Bering Sea are considered and polychaetes, isopods, and euphausiids are also important in the feeding of this species.
Food resource partitioning between three sympatric fish species in Porsangerfjord, Norway
The trophic ecology of three small demersal fishes using stomach data and stable isotope analyses indicated that the three species utilize different prey groups within the food web of the Porsangerfjord ecosystem.
Distribution of demersal fish in the south-western Barents Sea
The mapping considerably revised the distribution in relation to previous knowledge for 37 species, and the new and more accurate range maps provided here may serve as baseline information for future monitoring of the fish fauna in the Barents Sea.
Notes on the biology of the Bering poacher, Occella dodecaedron (Tilesius), and the sturgeon poacher, Agonus acipenserinus tilesius in the southeast Bering Sea
The structure and functions of the teleostean swimbladder and the abyssal fish Antimora rostrata are studied.
Identification of fish communities in the Barents Sea: Is there a faunal discontinuity across the Polar Front?
The assemblages and distributions of fish species in the south-western part of the Barents Sea which includes the Polar front are described, which shows that the fish community consists of four different assemblage: A Northern, a Southern, a Deep and a Central group.
Biodiversity of arctic marine fishes: taxonomy and zoogeography
Taxonomic and distributional information on each fish species found in arctic marine waters is reviewed, and a list of families and species with commentary on distributional records is presented. The
