A gram-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming and rod-shaped bacterial strain, CH15-1(T), was isolated from a sediment sample taken from Daechung Reservoir, South Korea, during the late-blooming period of cyanobacteria. Strain CH15-1(T) grew optimally at pH 7.0 and 30 °C.
