Sirtuins, a family of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD)-dependent deacetylases that play diverse roles in regulating metabolism, cell proliferation, and genome stability, have been implicated in mammalian aging and age-related diseases, including cancers, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
