Mark-recapture experiments were used to test the null hypothesis that juvenile chinook salmon smolts emigrating from the Sacramento River are entrained at unscreened water diversions in direct proportion to the water volume diverted. The experiments were conducted at the RD1004 Princeton Pumping Plant during June 1995, with a similar set of mark-recapture experiments conducted at the RD108 Wilkins Slough diversion.
