Aramis: an \on Line" Parallel Platform for Medical Imaging

Abstract

We present in this paper a remote access medical imaging system. This platform is composed of a server and of a parallel machine which can be accessed with a simple Web browser. The user interface is written in Java and ooers a convivial access to remote parallel tools. These tools are organized into independent processes, dynamically bound up with Java objects through the network. Moreover, our framework can be extended to allows security management and database server access. We have implemented a prototype of this system for a Medical application, in a package called ARAMIS, which stands for A Remote Access Medical Imaging System.
