Aracynthus loicmatilei, new species of Fulgoridae (Hemiptera, Fulgoromorpha) from French Guyana, is described, illustrated and compared to A. sanguineus. A. loicmatilei seems restricted to ripicolous swamp forests south to Kourou and Cayenne, while A. sanguineus shows a circum-amazonian distribution.
