This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of aqueous ethanolic extract of Mangifera indica stem bark on the biochemical and haematological indices of adult albino Wistar rats, so as to determine how safe the extract is in animals. Ten rats were separated into two groups, the first group served as control while the second group was administered 5000 mg/kg body weight of the extract by orogastric intubation for 14 days. The results showed that there was significant elevation (p < 0.05) in…

Timely Dosage Dependent Ethanolic Extract of Mangifera Indica Promotes Blood Cells Development and Weight Gain
TLDR
It is confirmed from the study that the extract regulates blood cells parameters and particularly promotes RBC, PCV; Hb levels at high dosages but platelets at low dosages respectively and hence could be used in the treatment of anaemia and weight loss.
Effects of Ethanol Leaf-Extract of Albizia ferruginea on Selected Haematological Indices in Wistar Albino Rats
TLDR
The results suggest that the ethanol leaf-extract of Albizia ferruginea could be effective in the management of anaemia.
EFFECT OF PURE MANGIFERIN VIS-A-VIS CRUDE ETHANOLIC EXTRACT FROM MANGIFERA INDICA BARK ON HAEMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS IN MALE ALBINO RATS
TLDR
Haematological indices like Hb, TC of RBC and PCV were significantly increased in pure mangiferin group when compared to control, but MCV and MCH showed significant reduction in pure Mangiferingroup than control and extract treatment.
ANTIBACTERIAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF THE AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF MANGIFERA INDICA STEM BARK ON ALBINO RATS
TLDR
The extract of mango stem bark extract was found to be active against all the test bacteria except streptococcus faecalis, and there was no sign of toxicity and no death recorded even at 5000mg/kg.
IMMUNOSTIMULATORY AND BIOCHEMICAL EFFECTS OF ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF MANGIFERA INDICA STEM BARK ON DEXAMETHASONE-INDUCED IMMUNOSUPPRESSED MALE RATS
TLDR
The Mangifera indica showed a hepato-protective activity, a cholesterol-lowering effect and a stabilising tendency on the Alanine aminotransferase (ALP) concentrations.
Reporting the toxicological profile of methanolic leaf extract of Anthocleista vogelii Planch on Wistar rats
TLDR
It was inferred from the study that A. vogelii leaves exhibited protective and hyper-stimulating properties as well as being innocuous and safe for therapeutic applications.
Histopathological and Biochemical Assessment of Chronic OralAdministration of Aqueous Leaf Extract of Thymus Serrulatus in Mice
TLDR
Investigating toxic effects of the aqueous leaf extract of Thymus serrulatus in mice found it relatively safe, however, mild mononuclear leukocytic infiltration was observed in mice treated at higher doses.
Toxicological Effects Of Aqueous Extract Of Anogeissus Leiocarpus Leaf, Carica Papaya Leaf, And Mangifera Indica Stem Bark (A Herbal Product Used Against Typhoid Fever) On Albino Rats.
TLDR
The results strongly suggest that these aqueous plants' extracts are safe for oral consumption as they appear not to be hepatotoxic in rats, rather the animals increased in weight and had improved haematological values.
The Aqueous Extract of Cocos nucifera L. (Arecaceae) Effectively Treat Induced Anemia. Experimental Study on Wistar Rats
TLDR
Cocos nucifera has a good therapeutic efficacy and may be considered for transformation into improved traditional medicines (ITM) after study of its biological tolerance and appropriate clinical trials.
Hepatoprotective and Nephroprotective Potentials of Aqueous Leaves Extract of Limonia acidissimain Phenylhydrazine-Induced Anaemic wistar Rats
TLDR
The outcome illustrates that the aqueous extract of the leaf of Limonia acidissima possess a protective potentials on the liver and kidney of phenyl hydrazineinduced wistar rats.
