An approximate method is proposed for solving the problem of the free torsion of a prismatic anisotropic member with a narrow cross section. The material is assumed to be homogeneous with a special form of anisotropy (nonorthotropic). An arbitrary elongated section and special cases are considered. Experimental data are presented for DSP-B wood-resin laminate and the limits of applicability of the method are established.
