This work discusses the use of static values of pressure of fluids in reservoirs and aquifers. Measurement of fluid pressures in wells provides very useful information in both development and exploration. Both operations need to ascertain the limits of permeable reservoir rock. This can be done much better with pressure measurements than with ordinary wire-line logs.
